カナダ・ミュージアム企画展示「三尾の民家建築とカナダ移民」

明治期以降、多数のカナダ移民を送り出してきた漁村、三尾。わたしたちはそのような固有の近現代史と共にある三尾集落の民家建築に注目し、その建築的特徴と、建物とカナダ移民との関係を紹介します。今回取り上げる民家は、2021〜22年に、三尾たかえ氏の協力のもと、京都府立大学松田法子研究室で実測調査を行い、図面を採取した民家のうち、カナダ移民が関係することが明らかな9軒です。
Mio is a fishing village that has sent many villagers to Canada since the Meiji period. This exhibition will shed light on this unique modern and contemporary history by focusing on the architectural features of folk dwellings of Mio and their association with the emigration from Mio.
The Noriko Matsuda Laboratory of Kyoto Prefectural University surveyed the nine folk dwellings featured in this exhibition with the support of Mrs. Takae Mio, Director of Canada Museum in the period of 2021-2022.
